Arrest Warrant Issued for Accused Hit & Run Driver

CORPUS CHRISTI -- An arrest warrant is now out for a man allegedly involved in a hit and run accident that seriously injured a motorcyclist.

Jose Antunez, 52, is wanted for accident involving personal injury or death. It was nearly a month ago when a 30-year-old man was hit by a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Staples and Texan Trail.

The driver of the Jeep took off, leaving the victim with a broken leg. It was a piece of debris from the Jeep that lead officers to seize the vehicle at a home in Corpus Christi.

All the evidence was turned over to the District Attorney's office and yesterday a judge signed off an the arrest warrant for Antunez.
