Arrest Made for Attempted Home Invasion

CORPUS CHRISTI - This afternoon police announced the arrest of man in connection with attempted home invasion on Greenbriar Drive.

Jesse Robert Jimenez, 20, was arrested during a traffic stop the day after a woman told police he came to her side door and demanded to be let in.

Police were holding Jimenez on a drug possession charge. He's now charged with burglary for the incident on Greenbriar and faces charges for a similar break-in on Fitzhugh that same morning.

Investigators are also looking at evidence of a car break-in near Staples and Lipes that was caught on tape. The suspects in that case are believed to be the same men.

In each burglary, the men arrived in a Volkswagen sedan. Jimenez is the only person charged in these cases.
