Arrest for Shots Fired in Neighborhood

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man accused of firing his pistol in a neighborhood Sunday night was arrested less than a block from where someone called 911 to report the crime.

Corpus Christi police made it to the 4600 block of Cosner Drive, near Kostoryz and Gollihar, right after the call came in. One of the officers noticed the driver of a silver Pontiac who ran a stop sign right down the street, so he pulled the car over.

According to police, 27-year-old Michael Morin had a recently fired pistol in the car.

Considering no one was injured by the gunfire, Morin is only charged for discharging a firearm within city limits.
