Armed Robber Threatens Two Convenience Store Clerks

PORTLAND - Police in Portland and Gregory are looking for an armed robber who hit two places within a few hours of each other last night.

The guy with a gun first struck the Snappy's convience store on Moore Avenue in Portland. Police say he had the gun wrapped up in some type of orange cloth as he threatened the clerk. He also wore a grey zip-up hoodie, a black cloth over his face, black shorts, and grey sneakers.

A few hours later, a man with the same description came into the Stripes in Gregory. He threatened the clerk by claiming to know who he was and where he lived.

Surveillance video from the Gregory hold-up shows the robber was only in the store for 30 seconds.

The gunman is described as a Hispanic male, around 5' 6" to 5'8" tall.

If you know anything about these robberies, call the San Patricio County Sheriff's Office at 361-364-9600.
