Armed Robber Strikes Family Dollar

CORPUS CHRISTI - Investigators think the same man who held up a Family Dollar store this morning is responsible for the robbery of a Subway last night.

Surveillance photos from the Family Dollar on Staples and near Morgan show a white male who walked up to the counter as if he was going to buy candy.

However, he pulled out a small pistol and grabbed all the cash from the register.

He took off running down Staples Street towards Elizabeth. Police say he was wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts.

Officers were unable to find the man in the area. No one was injured in the robbery.

The man who robbed the Subway on Saratoga Boulevard acted like he was going to buy a drink, showed a gun and demanded all the money from the register.
