ARIZONA - Arizona's Governor is ordering a review of the state's execution process, after an inmate died nearly two hours after his execution started.
Joseph Wood gasped and snorted for air for more than an hour before he was pronounced dead.
The type of drug used for the injection had never been tried before.
Governor Jan Brewer says she's concerned by how long it took for the drug to kill Wood.
His defense lawyers say the botched execution should have taken ten minutes, and should bring new scrutiny to the death penalty in the US.
Wood was sentenced to death for the 1989 murders of his girlfriend and her father.
