ARGENTINA -- Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez dismissed this week's vote by residents of the Falkland Islands aimed at countering Argentina's claim over the British-ruled territory.
Out of about 1500 votes cast, all but three voters said they wanted to remain a British overseas territory.
Argentine President Crisitna Fernandez told supporters her government's position will not change.
Argentina has claimed the islands since 1833, saying it inherited them from the Spanish and that Britain expelled the Argentine population there.
The u.s. is remaining neutral on the issues of Falklands sovereignty.
