ARANSAS PASS - The Aransas Pass girl's basketball team is making its first Region Tournament appearance in over a decade as the Lady Panthers will face Poth on Friday at 6pm in Seguin.
"I definitely think we are putting basketball back on the map, nobody has ever heard of us doing anything after district and it's just a good feeling to know we are that team to do it," said Guard Brianna Crib.
The girls told me they feel like nobody is giving them a chance, but said that's what motivates them, since nobody expected them to get this far.
"I do feel like we are underdogs but anyone can win on any given night," said Point Guard Keeli Oliver.
The keys to victory will be playing their game, and staying fundamentally strong against a much bigger and stronger Poth squad.
"They are gonna be tough they are gonna be challenge but I think we can handle them," said Post Jackie Jasper.
