Another Home Torn Down in Alice's Project Phoenix

ALICE - The City of Alice demolished another rundown home today as part of Project Phoenix. Crews were out early this morning to take down a dilapidated home in the 800 block of Grace Street.

The city is paying for the demolition effort and billing the owners later. Since Project Phoenix got underway more than a year ago, 26 structures have come down. The plan is to start a neighborhood renewal with new homes being built in their place.
