CORPUS CHRISTI -- It's not something you usually see at church...animals!
People could bring their pets to Saints Episcopal Church on Staples today to have them blessed.
It's in honor of St. Francis of Assisi who is the patron saint of animals.
After the blessings, each pet received a special certificate and their "human" friends got to snack on popcorn and lemonade.
Donations dropped off at the church -- like dog food and cat litter -- benefited animal rescue agencies in the area.
