Animal Control Called to Pick up Puppies at Drug Raid

CORPUS CHRISTI - A search for a wanted man turned into a busy call for police and animal control officers.

Police say a search of a home on the 2600 block of Nimitz turned up 28-year-old Ronnie Soliz, 17 puppies, heroin, marijuana and at least $12,000 in cash.

Three children between the ages of five and ten years old were also in the house. We're told their mother came by to pick up the kids.

Animal Control officers seized the puppies.
