CORPUS CHRISTI - We have a follow-up on some dogs in need of good homes who are currently at Corpus Christi Animal Care Services.
We're told a litter of newborn boxer-mix pups we featured yesterday have been placed with a rescue organization. The pups' mother died shortly after she gave birth.
'Hobo' a dog saved from the scene of a murder suicide may soon have an owner as long as officials verify information on the adoption application they've received.
The adult dog was brought back to life by firefighters who found him unconscious under a bed inside a home that burned on March 7th. Both of his owners died in that incident. He's undergone treatment for smoke inhalation.
There's also that group of puppies taken from a yard off Ayers Street earlier this month when one of them was seen with a piece of PVC pipe around his neck. The mother was claimed by the owner, but her puppies remained at Animal Care.
Officials say the pups are slightly aggressive so they're having trouble finding a good home for them.
Don't forget Animal Care Services also needs some help with many other dogs, cats and wildlife.
