NORTH CAROLINA - A North Carolina man is charged with drunk driving after his car slams into an ambulance.
The incident happened Monday afternoon in Gaston County.
Two emergency technicians were responding to an emergency call when an on-coming car crosses the center line and is suddenly hit.
The two EMTs along with three people in the car were all hurt.
Police say the driver of the car was speeding and driving recklessly.
They say it appears as if he was starting to crash and tried to over-correct.
The 36-year-old driver is charged with driving while intoxicated.
