CORPUS CHRISTI - Over 1,000 people were left without power Thursday night when an SUV crashed into a utility pole on Santa Fe Street.
Police say the woman driving the SUV was distracted by some food she was handling.
She knocked down one utility pole and as that pole was coming down it brought down a second pole.
That caused an outage that impacted an area bordered by Santa Fe, Robert, Ocean Drive and Doddridge.
