A&M-Kingsville's Atterberry Finalist for Arkansas Tech Job

KINGSVILLE - Late last night a friend with the publication LSC Scoop alerted me that A&M-Kingsville Head Coach Bo Atterberry was a finalist for the Arkansas Tech Head Coaching vacancy which was filled today with the hiring of Raymond Monica (Kutztown).
Atterberry is 41-28 record at TAMK in 6 seasons, with a pair of trips to the playoffs. In 2012 the Javelinas finished the year with a 6-6 mark. At the end of the season he earned LSC Coach of the year honors.
His Javelinas have cracked the Top 25 each of the last four seasons. He was named the American Football Coaches Association Regional Coach of the Year in 2010.
Brown has compiled a 19-14 record at Missouri S&T, including a 10-1 record in 2012 losing only to the University of Indianapolis. He was an assistant coach at Ohio University for four years prior to taking the Miners' head coaching position.
Monica has been the head coach at Kutztown for 7 seasons and has a 45-33 record, including a 7-4 mark in 2012. In 2011, KU won their first ever PSAC title, advanced to the NCAA playoffs, winning the first playoff game in team history, and was ranked as high as #6 in the AFCA poll.
