CORPUS CHRISTI-Annaville firefighters were forced to wade through waist deep mud to make a rescue overnight.
They launched the rescue from an area off the Joe Fulton corridor, after two people called for help around 11pm Sunday night.
A Coast Guard helicopter was called into to aid in the search, which took about four hours.
Annaville firefighters got with half a mile of that boat, but couldn't get any closer.
After making their way through the waist deep mud they did finally get to the stranded boaters.
The two people on the boat were wet and cold, but otherwise unharmed.
