CORPUS CHRISTI - The Nueces County Health Department has confirmed a 7th human case of the West Nile Virus. The patient is a woman between 50 to 60 years old. Health officials say she is currently hospitalized.
In the six other cases, five recovered, but one person died. Health officials are reminding folks to remain alert to the threat and to take preventative measures to lower the risk of getting the virus.
