WISCONSIN - A seven-year old boy from Wisconsin is being credited with saving his mom's life.
He jumped into action when his mom, who's suffering from cancer, fainted.
Chad Legler just turned 7 this month.
Chad Legler, who saved his mom, said "I said "Mommy wake up, mommy wake up, but she wouldn't. Then I tried pushing on her belly but she wouldn't wake up."
Chad's mom has cancer and after a complication earlier this week---went unconscious
Scared and crying, Chad knew he needed to do something, so he ran to get his neighbor who called 911.
Shane Legler, Chad's dad, said, "Very proud, amazed, very happy."
Butch Legler, Chad's grandfather, said, "If he hadn't of done, what he did, it could have been a lot worse."
While his mom was taken to the hospital Chad stayed behind, with Deputy Joe Carril there to calm him down.
Chad's mom is still in the hospital but was awake this morning and heard part of the story about how her son saved her life.
And Chad hopes that soon she'll be well enough to meet his new BFF, Deputy Carril.
Proving sometimes the best things in life come out of the worst situations.
Chad's dad says he's so lucky that Deputy Carril cares so much about their family.
And according to Chad's grandmother, he told her he wants to be a sheriff when he grew up.
