GREGORY - We have new information on the woman who police say stole more than $60,000 from Gregory City Hall. As we reported last night, Patty Lacy is in custody after several checks and money orders were found at a house she was staying at. Today, 6 news learned this isn't the first time Lacy has been arrested for stealing money from her employer. Some residents believe some city officials may have known about her past.

We acquired court documents today that detail how Lacy stole over $170,000 from Ewing Construction, her former employer. The documents say Lacy was responsible for issuing company credit cards to employees and says that she "admitted to using credit cards issued to her by Ewing Construction for personal reasons and expenses, then paying such with company funds."

The documents also detail each transaction she mad with the company cards. Like three different purchases with the online-ticketing site Stub-Hub that totalled nearly $6,000. Or nearly $800 for Willie Nelson tickets. She even paid off a Portland P.D. Ticket for over $500. And in May and June of 2009, she took several trips to Garner State Park for an undisclosed amount of money.

And even after Lacy was arrested and convicted of stealing money from Ewing, she still managed to get a job working for the city of Gregory.

So, we went to Gregory to ask officials how Lacy was hired, given her criminal history. However, no one was available to answer our questions. We left messages with Mayor Freddy Garcia, but he has not called us back.

Lacy was given 10 years probation and 240 hours of community service for her theft while she worked at Ewing Construction. She was also ordered to pay over $37,000 in restitution to the company.
