CORPUS CHRISTI - We have a follow up on our 6 News Investigation into a school zone speed limit sign that was blocked by a tree. The tree has been trimmed.
Neighbors say the sign was covered by a tree for over a year, and it was almost impossible to see when driving towards Club Estates Elementary School on the southside of town.
We asked city officials why nothing had been done, especially with school starting this week.
They told us they found out about the sign a couple weeks back and were deciding whether to remove the tree, or move the sign.
The homeowner told us he planted those trees years ago, before the sign was there, and the trees got taller over the years.
The tree has been trimmed down the sign is easy to see now.
But we don't know if it was trimmed by the city or the homeowner.
