KINGSVILLE - We have a 6 Investigates Follow-up on a former Kleberg County jailer accused of hiding her brother, who was a wanted felon. She has been arrested.
According to the Kleberg County Sheriff's Department, Clarissa Torres was arrested last night.
A Kleberg County Grand Jury indicted Torres on charges of hindering apprehension/prosecution of a felon.
According to the indictment, Clarissa Torres knew her brother, Eduardo Torres, was wanted for drug possession and a parole violation.
Officer found him in Clarissa's apartment back in April.
Meanwhile, the Kingsville Narcotics Task Force says they found disturbing text messages between Clarissa Torres and a man who's a known member of the Texas Syndicate Prison Gang.
They say she relayed information to that gang member about where certain inmates were located in the Kleberg County Jail.
