ORANGE GROVE -- A municipal court has dismissed their case against Orange Grove Athletic Director Jerry W. Bomar after initially finding him guilty of disorderly conduct and abusive language following an incident involving the mother of one of his football players in September.

But because Bomar, 60, plead "no contest," and waived his right to a jury trial the court agreed to dismiss the case so long as he did not receive any additional citations for 30 days. The probation period, which started Jan. 9, ended Friday.

Sharla Lozano filed a complaint against Bomar after she claimed he called her son a "loser," and chased her out of the high school calling her "fat." Lozano, who said the confrontation happened while she was meeting with Bomar to complain about her son not getting enough play time, admitted to making disparaging remarks about Bomar's son during the exchange.

Bomar was ordered to pay a $165 fine.
