CORPUS CHRISTI - Last week, we told you about Golden Sean Murphy who was accused of renting out rooms at a home he didn't own. Now another victim of Murphy's has come forward.
Tyler Smith says he first met Murphy in June when he responded to an on line ad. Murphy was selling a Suzuki motorcycle for $850. Smith offered $720 and Murphy accepted.
"I met him at his house and I gave him the money for the bike. And then he was asking me about, or telling me he wanted to rent a room in his house," said Smith.
That's when Smith moved into the home on Jose Drive. Smith says he paid $320 a month for three months, and never received a receipt for the bike or rent.
So, we went looking for Murphy who had a different story. Murphy says Smith only gave him $240 for the bike and, "he didn't receive the motorcycle because it hadn't been paid in full. The money went toward paying bills in the house."
Murphy says Smith lived rent free and the money Smith put toward the bike was used to pay the bills.
But Smith said, "No. No, he's lying again."
Smith says after staying in the home for about three months he still hadn't received the bike when, "he kicked me out of his house."
Smith says Murphy told him he had to come up with $185 or else he was getting evicted. He says he didn't have the money, so Murphy told him to move out.
"That's not true," said Murphy. He says he never kicked him out. He said one day Smith just left and he didn't know why.
But we asked the home owner, Judy Williams, if she knew Smith was staying there and she said no. "I didn't know of anything going on in that house other than Sean Murphy," she said.
Now, Smith has no home and is living out of the back of his truck.
Smith gave Murphy a notarized letter last month saying he had to pay him his $720 back or he is going to file a lawsuit.
Since Smith has no proof or receipts of his purchase, Murphy says he is sticking to his story.
Murphy still hasn't given Smith his money back, so Smith says he's thinking about filing a lawsuit.
