5 American Soldiers Killed in Friendly-fire Incident

AFGHANISTAN - An investigation is underway following a deadly friendly fire incident in Afghanistan today that killed 5 American soldiers.

Troops were on a foot patrol with Afghan soldiers and they were suddenly attacked by the Taliban.

The attack was so fierce that US forces called in an airstrike.

One bomber arrived and a bomb dropped in the wrong place, killing the five American soldiers and one Afghan soldier.

It's too early to determine what exactly happened, but this is going to be an investigation that the Army will take very seriously

It's the worst friendly-fire incident in more than a decade of war in Afghanistan.
