3 Teens Face 20 Years for Alleged Theft of Weedeater

CORPUS CHRISTI - Three teens were arrested last night for allegedly stealing a weedeater from a home on the 4900 block of Monitor Drive last night. According to police, the owner said several men broke into his home and fled by jumping a fence.

Police soon found Vinson Joe Landa, 18, walking down S. Padre Island drive carrying a weedeater, alongside Elias Rodriguez, 17, and John David Garcia, 19.

All three are charged with burglary which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted. The $270 weedeater was returned to the owner.
