3 Mounted Patrol Killed

CANADA - A Canadian Police Commander said it's perhaps the darkest day in the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the province of News Brunswick.

Three RCMP officers were shot and killed and two others were wounded yesterday.

The suspect is still on the loose.

The voice of Roger Brown, a Police Commander, cracked with emotion as he talked about what happened.

Roger Brown, New Brunswick RCMP Commander, said, "this is perhaps the darkest day in the history of the RCMP New Brunswick. The RCMP family has lost three of our colleagues and three of our friends. Two more of our officers are in hospital at present and undergoing surgery."

The suspect has been spotted three times today and authorities believe he's being contained in an area in Moncton.
