CORPUS CHRISTI - Friday was a busy day for police, narcotics officers and other law enforcement agencies.
Four men were arrested in three different drug raids.
The day began wiith a raid on Nimitz.
That was followed by another raid on Brawner Parkway.
Even as officers were barely leaving that location, they had another raid on Vestal.
At that location they were acting on information that a man who lived there was dealing crack cocaine.
As the raid began, the suspect took off running.
He didn't get very far.
Police arrested 43 year old Joel Sanchez Junior.
Officers say he had a semi-automatic pistol on him.
They also found some marijuana.
Sanchez is said to be a known gang member.
Just minutes earlier, police wrapped up an undercover investigation with a raid at some apartments in the 3600 block of Brawner Parkway.
They had also been tipped off about drug activity at that location.
The tip paid off.
They found a large amount of drugs including 4 ounces of cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, even some heroin.
2 men ages 28 and 30 years old were taken into cutody.
They face drug possession charges.
They could also face some federal charges because the arrest happened near a school.
Earlier on Friday officers went to a westside home in the 2600 block of Nimitz.
They were looking for a man with an outstanding warrant.
They found him.
They also found heroin, marijuana and at least $12,000 in cash.
3 children between the ages of 5 and 10 were also in the house.
Their mother, who is separated from the suspect, was called to come and pick up the children.
The suspect, 28-year old Ronnie Soliz, was taken away in handcuffs.
Animal control officers were also called out to pick up 17 puppies that were in the house.
Police say none of the 3 cases is connected.
