CORPUS CHRISTI - The American Red Cross in is the process of counting the number of residents affected by this morning's explosion that leveled a home on Holmes Drive that injured two men.
Three homes were destroyed in the explosion and fire that followed. At least 15 homes, plus dozens more apartments and businesses were damaged.
Power and natural gas services is still out for many in the area.
The Red Cross is in the process of providing cold water, warm meals and temporary lodging to 18 families.
Emergency personnel are also being provided with cold water and snacks during the cleanup effort.
While there's no official cause for the explosion, one of the men injured told people the last thing he remembers is lighting a cigarette. That's leading investigators to look into a possible natural gas leak.
