3 Charged with Crime Spree on Padre Island

CORPUS CHRISTI - Three people were arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly stealing stuff from open garages and cars on Padre Island.

An officer who pulled over a truck for an expired sticker on Yardarm found everything from fishing poles to bicycles in the back. The driver took off running during the traffic stop and jumped in a canal to try and get away.

Investigators say the trio also stole a vehicle.

According to police, Kody Allen Wilson, 26, Lori Kay Vandusen, 27, and Angelo Joseph Coglaiti, 33, are all charged with burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Vandusen is also charged with possession of marijuana.
