CORPUS CHRISTI - While High School Football was the talk of the town, a trio of high school soccer standouts quietly made their college choices on the day they referred to as "National Signing Day".
Calallen's Naomi Morales was the first to put pen to paper signing with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, then it was Rockport's Kennah Leal also picking the Islanders.
"It feels good to be part of the first ever Corpus team I mean I'll be supporting my community," said Morales.
"Its near my family my sister goes there and the coaches are awesome," said Leal.
Meanwhile in Beeville, Lady Trojans leader Heather McKinney signed on the dotted line with the University of the Incarnate Word.
"Whenever I went on my official visit I really enjoyed the campus and the girls and it just really seemed like a great fit for me," said McKinney.
