CORPUS CHRISTI - Friday night's fatal hit and run on 25th Street has taken a bizarre turn. It turns out the woman who survived that hit and run was the victim of another hit and run nearly a month ago.
Disturbing surveillance video from May 11th shows that hit and run on Mary Street and Harmon.
A 56-year-old woman was left with a broken hip when a black pick up hit her as she crossed the intersection.
That same woman was still recovering from those injuries when she and her boyfriend were hit by a suspected drunk driver Friday night.
She survived this second hit and run, but was critically injured.
Her boyfriend, 56-year-old Ray Lopez, died of his injuries at a local hospital.
The woman who police say hit the couple, 30-year-old Christine Griffin, was arrested about an hour later at a nearby apartment complex.
Griffin is charged with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault with a vehicle and causing an accident where someone was hurt or killed.
Her bond is set at $570,000.
