From the American Red Cross
CORPUS CHRISTI - Heroes for the American Red Cross is a grassroots fundraising and awareness campaign that gives you the chance to make a big, lasting difference - and to be recognized for it, too! Heroes pledge to raise $1,000 each for the Red Cross during the campaign period. If you're up for this challenge, you can raise the money through our pin up program asking employees or your customers for a $1.00 donation per pin up. Names can be written on the pin up and displayed at your business. For every $1,000 raised, your company will receive two tickets to our Heroes Breakfast on August 14, 2012 at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center. The Heroes Breakfast will recognize all those who participated in this campaign and honor our local first responders.
Your American Red Cross chapter will quickly put your donation to work to help people in our community prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. It can provide a warm bed and a meal to those who've lost everything in a disaster; training to a CPR instructor who empowers others to save lives; or educating a community on how to prevent the most common disaster - home fires.
We ask that you consider being a hero for the American Red Cross by participating in this campaign. Please contact Yvette Lara at 361-887-9991 ext 5526 for more information on how to be a Hero for the American Red Cross, or visit www.cbtredcross.org.
