PORT ARANSAS - A resident walking the beach in Port Aransas this morning called police after finding a large duct tape wrapped bundle in the surf near mile marker 55. We're told by police this is the third bundle of marijuana that's washed ashore since the summer.
The drugs will be turned over to federal authorities to determine where it may have come from. Although police don't know the source of the drugs, they continue to encourage anyone that finds a strange package to call police - rather than taking it home - so they won't face any criminal charges themselves.
