KISSIMMEE - If you want to play a fun game, that just about nobody can win, I would recommend playing "Name an Astro". This team truly reminds me of the movie "Major League" but for some reason I am doubtful the ending will be the same.
Between now and last season Houston management went out and traded just about every recognizable name on the roster, with the exception of Pitcher Bud Norris, and Infielder Jose Altuve. Sure, you may know a few other players, but be honest the majority on the roster aren't exactly what you'd call household names.
"Our strategy is to get this organization to have the best talent best in baseball and win championships and we wanna get there as fast as possible," said Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow
Here's a look at the current active roster, if you recognize half of the names, then you are ahead most.
As for the franchise they promise they aren't rebuilding, even though every move certainly seems like it.
"We're not thinking about rebuilding we wanna win every game every night, I mean if you take it with that mindset and try and win tonight then you will be pretty good," said Outfielder Justin Maxwell.
The players meanwhile hear the critics and watch the news, but still believe this a team that can win, even though nobody knows who they are.
