ARANSAS PASS -- If you drove around today, you probably noticed a plume of smoke in the air.

It looked like there was a huge fire but it's just a controlled burn in Aransas Pass along Highway 35 near Lowes.

This burn has been going on for two days now.

County officials said the property is owned by a commissioner with a burn plan in place.
