CORPUS CHRISTI -- Firefighters evacuated some people living in an apartment complex on the city's southside.

Someone saw smoke at the Fountain Apartments this afternoon on Airline.

At first firefighters couldn't find the source of the smoke, so they kicked in four doors before finding out it was food burning on a stove.

No one was hurt.
