One person from Mexico is dead tonight after a fatal rollover on I-37 near Callicoatte Road.

Officers said it started out as a simple traffic stop but turned into a chase.

Police called off the chase and, shortly later, found the driver of the truck lost control, hit some railroad tracks and flipped.

16 illegal immigrants were piled into the truck at the time of the accident.

Border Control agents caught seven of them but eight took off running.

One man who lives nearby said he saw one of the immigrants running through his yard.

Jack Baker said, "It was pretty sad. Most of these people are just trying to get a better life and I understand that, but hopefully they'll find them. But, right now everybody is on edge."
