CORPUS CHRISTI- It was warmer and wetter in the Coastal Bend today with generally light rain and the heaviest of rainfall activity in the Gulf of Mexico. The majority of are rainfall will arrive overnight and end by noon tomorrow. Here are the details.
A significant rain event is shaping up for south Texas as a vigorous upper level disturbance along with a Pacific cold front approach from the west late tonight. Some of the activity may become severe (so says the storm prediction center) in the Coastal Bend but the primary effect of this system on the region will be locally heavy rain which is badly needed.
Tonight and Wednesday showers and thunderstorms likely with a few producing locally heavy rain and gusty winds expect a low tonight of 59 and a high tomorrow after the rain ends of 74.
Expect beautiful weather here behind the front Thursday and the first half of Friday. A stronger cold front arrives Saturday night.
