CORPUS CHRISTI - Police believe two women are responsible for stealing valuables out of peoples cars while they're dropping their children off at day care.
Police say one woman is the look out while the other woman actually checks the cars and steals out of them. Their main target is purses that busy moms, taking kids into daycare, leave behind in their cars.
While it may take less than a minute to drop off kids, police say it takes only seconds to for a burglar to open up an unlocked car, grab anything that may be of value, take it, close the door and leave.
Officers say they know for sure the woman have targeted three different church daycares. The Annaville Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church and Asbury United Methodist Church.
Officers say the women will then use any credit cards they get almost immediately. They go straight to local stores and buy gift cards. That way when the stolen credit cards are deactivated they will still be able to use the stolen money.
Police don't know who these women are yet, but say they look like they know what they're doing. They believe the two women to be driving a 2011-2012 grey Toyota Camry.
Police want to remind parents to lock their cars. If you recognize either of the two woman call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
