    Punishment Phase Expected In Deadly Shooting Case

    CORPUS CHRISTI -- The punishment phase for a Corpus Christi man found guilty in a deadly shooting at a gas station is expected to start today.

    Yesterday, a court convicted 18-year-old Jose Angel Macias, Jr. of shooting Casimiro Guerra III after an argument outside the Stripes store on Ayers and Bevecrest.

    The 21-year-old victim died at the hospital.

    Court documents say that a man, who was with Macias that night, claims the shooting happened after a bad drug deal.
