CORPUS CHRISTI - Police are looking for the man who killed 29 year old Patrick Brailey at the Smokin' Waves Hookah Lounge early Saturday morning.

Brailey's mother and sister say he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. They say Brailey was walking by a group of people who had gotten into a fight in the courtyard area of the lounge.

The suspect walked away from the group and shot into the crowd, hitting Brailey.

His mother and sister say he was just walking to put his girlfriend's coat in his car.

We'll have more reaction from his family tonight on the newscast.


Suspect Sought for Murder in Downtown Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI - Homicide investigators are still looking for the gunman who killed a man at a lounge in downtown Corpus Christi this weekend.

Friends have identified the victim as Patrick Brailey. Police say he was shot and killed following an argument in the courtyard of the Smokin' Waves Hookah Lounge on Water Street.

The suspect walked away from the argument, then shot several rounds towards the group of men and women. Brailey was rushed to the hospital, but died from his wounds. No one else was injured.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20's who was wearing a button-up red plaid shirt and blue jeans at the time. He fled the area in red Dodge Durango.

Fatal Hookah Bar Shooting

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police are asking for your help in identifying a man who shot and killed another man at a hookah bar early Saturday morning.

The picture is a still from some video we got of the scene today. It shows a bullet hole in a businesses window near the scene.

Still no word on how many shots were fired in all.

Officers say, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday morning after an argument broke out at the Smokin Waves Lounge at 505 S. Water Street.

Police tell us a crowd met at the Lounge Saturday morning and they began arguing. One man from the group walked away from the others, and then pulled out a pistol and shot into the crowd. The shooter then left in a red Dodge Durango.

One man was injured in event. The injured 29-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he died from the injury.

Police began a search for a Hispanic man between 20-29 years of age who wore a short sleeve button up red plaid shirt and blue jeans.
