Davis' Family Speaks Out About Him Killing His Mother

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man who murdered his own mother will spend the rest of his life in prison. He pleaded guilty to killing his mother with a hammer in March. After the announcement, other family members spoke out about the gruesome crime.

"You broke an unwritten law, you killed your mother! You just don't do that," said Davis' grandfather Clyde Hill.

Davis' family got very emotional while talking to him today. After hearing testimony of how Davis killed his mother, his family was upset and confused.

"You're a young person. You're going to prison. It's all for nothing. You didn't have to take her life," said Clyde Hill.

During today's testimony a psychologist took the stand to say Davis had many murder fantasies, but that you would never know unless he told you.

His half sister Desiree Hill told the jury how she was never scared of him and didn't see this coming. She told her brother, he would regret what he did.

"You took the only person that ever had your back. She had your back to the fullest extant. My back to the fullest extant. And now you are all alone," said Desiree Hill.

Both his grandfather's and half sister's last words to Davis were heartbreaking.

"We won't ever see you again," said Clyde Hill.

"I loved you, you know. You know that," said Desiree Hill.

The big unanswered question for the family is, why did Davis commit this crime? While that question goes unanswered, prosecutors say the life sentence was a good choice by the jury. Saying Davis told police he would kill again if no one stopped him.
