The remnants of Tropical Storm Odile have moved into Texas and will have some impact over South Texas. Scattered afternoon showers expected in the Coastal Bend today but much heavier activity will occur toward Laredo and the Hill Country today. High 90. On Friday the moisture will be closer to the coastal bend with a strong chance of thundershowers here. High 90. 

By the weekend the shower activity will decrease with mostly sunny skies. Highs near 92.

the next cool front is now expected to move in on Monday with a few showers. The highs early next week should stay in the mid 80's.

On Saturday the remnants of Tropical Storm Odile will move into West Texas and the Hill Country with heavy showers expected there . Some of that activity will push into our area.

The next front of the season should make it through the region on Sunday. It will not be a strong cold front but it will dry us out a bit. High on Monday mid 85.

CORPUS CHRISTI- A tropical wave has moved ashore this evening and brought with it scattered thundershowers with rainfall amounts varying widely but a general half inch was common over much of the Coastal Bend. Tropical moisture will remain in place the rest of this week and will combine with daytime heating and a weak sea breeze to produce only isolated tropical shower now thru Friday. Temperatures will stay above normal and hot with high humidity thru the weekend.

Wednesday and Thursday expect isolated tropical showers (it rains hard in spots but not for long) very humid and hot with variable sunshine and highs both days of 92.

Wednesday night expect a few coastal showers after midnight light winds warm and stuffy with a low of 77.

CORPUS CHRSTI- A tropical wave is approaching the Coastal Bend from the western Gulf and will move over the area on Tuesday with rich tropical moisture. Once the wave dissipates on Wednesday tropical moisture will remain in place resulting in less rain coverage but still isolated to scattered activity thru the latter part of the week. It does dry out some for the weekend and temperatures will be hot during the day except temporarily when it is raining.

Tonight expect scattered showers to develop near the coast humid and warmer with a low of 76.

Tuesday will be wetter with scattered to numerous thundershowers and locally heavy rain in and around more clouds and a humid of 86.

Tuesday night expect scattered showers near the coast still warm and sticky with a low of 75.

Wednesday we will have a little less rain but still scattered thundershowers hot and humid with light winds again and a high near 90.

This afternoon will see a return of tropical moisture with showers increasing after sundown. Tuesday will see significant rain as the wave moves ashore. Rainfall total will easily surpass 1 to 2 inches. Wednesday will contour the shower activity due to afternoon heating. By Wednesday the remnants of Hurricane Odille will like bring moisture back in from the west. 

A slow drying trend will begin by Friday with temperatures moving back up to near 90's.

Tuesday an area low pressure moves in south of us but gives us numerous showers/thunderstorms along the eastern half in the morning then moving inland in the afternoon.

More rain develops along the coast Tuesday night into Wednesday with more scattered showers.

Thursday through next weekend still isolated showers pop-up with the heating of the day.

We're about 2 weeks away before our next cold front makes it to us.

The tropics are active way out in the middle of Atlantic Ocean, not bothering anyone. And in Pacific Ocean side, Campeche Mexico area is getting hit by a category 3 hurricane.

CORPUS CHRISTI- A cold front (as expected) moved into South Texas today causing some more needed rain and produced the lowest temperatures in 4 months. The front is in the process of stalling to our south and slightly drier air is filtering in from the north. This will result in less rain and warmer temperatures for Sunday. A tropical wave approaching from the eastern gulf will once again enhance our rainfall prospects from late Monday thru Thursday of next week. Winds will stay light except near rainfall activity.

Tonight will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers mainly south and near the coast and a low near 70.

Sunday we will have morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine only a stray shower humid and warmer with a high of 87.

Monday light winds variable sunshine humid and hotter with isolated afternoon thundershowers and a high near 90.

As the front dissipates the tropical moisture will stay deposited over the area resulting in more shower activity the middle part of next week. Winds will generally be light except near rainfall activity.

Saturday expect showers and thundershowers likely in the morning tapering off and ending during the afternoon and evening cooler with a high of only 82. A few of the showers will be locally heavy rain producers.

Saturday night will be quiet with mostly cloudy skies not quite as warm with a low near 70.

COPUS CHRISTI- Rich tropical moisture will remain in place over south Texas for the weekend. This will result in isolated to widely scattered tropical thundershowers for Saturday and Sunday. By Monday dry upper level high pressure will return to the area drying us out and heating us up thru next Thursday. Beginning Friday and lasting thru most of next weekend a cold front approaches south Texas and stalls resulting in a significant rain event for the area if the timing is accurate. This is something definitely worth watching.

Saturday we will have light winds a mix of clouds and sunshine hot and humid in and around isolated thundershowers and a high of 92.

Saturday night expect fair skies with a few coastal showers late otherwise nearly calm and quiet with a low of 73.

Sunday we will have variable cloudiness mixed with some sunshine hot and humid outside of widely scattered thundershowers (a few with locally heavy rain) and a high of 93.

The tropics are quiet for now.
