The big upper level high pressure moves away from us today.
Overnight mostly clear with a light wind. Low: 76. Wind: SE 3-6mph.

An upper level low in southern Louisiana is heading down the coast toward South Texas.

Isolated sea breeze showers pop up Thursday as a weakening upper level low moves through South Texas.

Breezy and drier on Friday. Windy and hot again Saturday and Sunday with no rain.

Monday and Tuesday look hot & breezy here as another Summer cool front makes it into North Texas.

Tropical Depression #2 out in the Atlantic Ocean has falled apart as it moved into wind shear and a drier environment around the Lesser Antilles.

The Tropical Depression #2 way out in the Atlantic Ocean will fall apart as is moves into wind shear and a drier environment around the Lesser Antilles.

Wednesday expect considerable sunshine light winds humid and hot with a stay shower or two and a high of 95.

Wednesday night we will mainly clear skies nearly calm and quiet with a low of 73.

Thursday expect isolated thundershowers otherwise light winds lots of sun and continued humid and hot with a high of 96.

CORPUS CHRISTI- High pressure is keeping us very hot and dry. The "dry high" weakens a bit Wednesday and Thursday allowing a weak area of low pressure to reside along the Texas coast and produce a few isolated showers. Highs will come down slightly with the increased moisture mid-week then ramp up again by the end of this week.

Tonight will be mainly clear warm and sticky with decreasing winds and a low of 77.

Tuesday expect mainly sunny skies sweltering heat with a little less wind and continued dry with a high of 98.

Tuesday night will be mainly clear and calmer with a low 75.

Wednesday we will have isolated showers in and around mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures with a high of 97.

The heat index will back off from the last couple of days levels but still be in the 104 to 109 range.

Then the big upper level high moves away from us a little.

So Wednesday and Thursday a weak upper level low moving down the Texas coast, will give a shower or two in the eastern part of the Coastal Bend.

Windy and hot again Friday through next weekend.

There is a 10% chance an area of low pressure way out in the Atlantic Ocean will develop into a tropical depression.

CORPUS CHRISTI- We had a nice general rain today; unfortunately the eastern two thirds of the Coastal Bend generally had .25" or less including just .08" in the central part of Corpus Christi. Abundant leftover moisture combined with light winds a weak upper level disturbance and daytime heating will produce one more round of widely scattered thundershowers Saturday before it really dries out and heats up Sunday and virtually all of next week.

Saturday expect variable sunshine hot and humid in and around widely scattered thundershowers more near the coast in the morning gradually working inland during the afternoon and a high of 94.

Saturday night will be steamy but tranquil with a low of 76.

Sunday will be drying out and heating up with a gentle afternoon sea breeze, lots of sunshine humid and hotter and a high of 97.

The heat index maxes out between 104 and 112 each afternoon.

The end result is a little bit of rain in the area and the city late tonight, Friday, and the first half of Saturday. Of course with isolated activity a lot of folks will miss the badly needed rainfall but at least some of us will pick up at shower.

Tonight expect isolated thundershowers after midnight with decreasing winds lots of clouds very warm and humid and a low near 80.

Friday expect isolated thundershowers noticeably less wind humid and hot with a high of 94 under mostly cloudy skies.

Friday night and Saturday expect isolated thundershowers very humid and hot Saturday with a high of 96.

The heat index will top out between 106 and 112 each afternoon outside of the rainy areas.

Thursday will be hazy humid more wind and hotter with a high of 98.

Thursday night expect a few isolated showers late (mainly over northern sections of the Coastal Bend) otherwise very warm and stuffy with a low of 81.

Friday we will have isolated showers otherwise lots of sunshine stifling heat and a high of 97.

The heat index will max out at between 105 and 110 each afternoon.

CORPUS CHRISTI- A stationary frontal boundary to the north in north central Texas will be the focal point of showers the next couple of days a couple of which could move into the Coastal Bend. As the front pulls away from us toward the end of this week expect increasing winds and humidity along with much warmer overnight lows. Our high temperatures will continue to average about 5 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny breezy and baking hot with only a stray shower and a high of 99.

Wednesday night we will have fair skies a bit breezier and warmer with a low of 78.

Thursday expect lots of sunshine more wind and blistering heat with a high of 98.

Dry upper level high pressure will be exiting to the west Monday.

Tuesday through Thursday the deep trough of low pressure stays diving across the central and eastern United States.

That will push the cold front all the way down to I-10 and some rain could make it down to Bee, Live Oak, Refugio, and Aransas County Tuesday into early Wednesday.

It stays blazing hot as the heat piles up in South Texas ahead of the front that doesn't make it all the way down here.

Wind strengthens Wednesday and Thursday. That low pressure sweeps south into Texas and gives us a little chance of rain on Saturday.

Tropics stay quiet.

Friday night will be clear calm (after midnight) and lower than normal with a low of 74.

This represents our best opportunity for rain over the next 7 days although some areas will still get missed because of the scattered nature of the shower activity. Dry high pressure will build back over the area beginning Friday heating things up and drying us out.

Tonight we will have fair skies only a gentle breeze and a low of 74.

Wednesday skies will become mostly sunny not as breezy humid and hot with only a stray inland shower again and a high of 96.

Wednesday night will be tranquil with some high clouds and a seasonal low of 75.

Thursday will be wetter with scattered thundershowers starting on the coast in the morning and working slowly inland during the afternoon and evening not as hot due to more clouds and a high of just 92.

With a little more wind in play our overnight lows will be higher and our daytime highs will near seasonal levels. As we dry out toward the weekend our highs get hotter.

Tuesday expect a stray shower otherwise breezy hot and humid and under a mix of clouds and sunshine we will have a high of 95.

Tuesday night we will have fair skies seasonal and stuffy with a low of 76.

Wednesday expect isolated showers less wind and a high of 94.

We will have a better opportunity for showers here on Thursday especially in the city and not just the Coastal Bend.
