Authorities: No illegal drugs found in Haim case

LOS ANGELES (AP) A coroner's official says authorities have recovered four prescription drug bottles bearing the name of actor Cory Haim but found nothing illegal while investigating his death.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter declined Friday to identify the drugs. Haim was battling flulike symptoms in the days before his death.

WASHINGTON (AP) A federal court has upheld regulations that require cable TV companies to make channels they own available to satellite TV providers and other rivals on equal terms.

Friday's ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia leaves in place the Federal Communications Commission "program access" rules. Dalai Lama doc wins Havel award at film festival

PRAGUE (AP) A documentary by two Tibetan filmmakers tracing a year in the life of the Dalai Lama has won the Vaclav Havel award for its contribution to the protection of human rights.

"The Sun Behind the Clouds" won the award at the 12th annual One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival on Friday.

Lions Gate rejects Icahn offer to buy shares

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. on Friday rejected an offer from activist shareholder Carl Icahn to boost his stake in the movie studio by buying up to 13.2 million shares.

Girlicious band member charged with having drugs

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) A member of the pop group Girlicious has been charged in California with drug possession with the intent to sell after Glendale police allegedly found a dozen plastic bags of cocaine in her Gucci purse.

Spanish novelist Miguel Delibes dies at 89

MADRID, Spain (AP) Miguel Delibes, an acclaimed and prolific novelist whose work featured gritty depictions of rural life in post-civil war Spain and psychological analyses of characters facing turning points, died Friday. He was 89.
