  Cardenas Pleads Guilty to Attempted Carjacking with Pruning Shears

  CORPUS CHRISTI - The man who used pruning shears during an attempted carjacking on North Beach is headed to prison for up to 10 years.

  Ruben Cardenas, 24, threatened a waitress outside Blackbeard's restaurant. When he was unsuccessful police say he ran into the restaurant and threatened other wait staff.

  Osborn Pleads Not Guilty to Killing Pedestrian on Beach

  Kingsville Man Accused of Murder

  KINGSVILLE - A Kingsville man accused of murder is said to have called 911 himself last night to report the death of 48-year-old Juan Manuel Garza.

  According to police, 34-year-old Mark Barbour claimed he got into a fight with Garza at a home on East Henrietta. Officers found Garza's body with trauma and multiple stabs wounds.

  Investigators say Barbour and Garza were involved in another fight several years ago that left Garza with several stab wounds.

  Man Wanted for Pawning Stolen Items

  CORPUS CHRISTI - Police are looking for a man who sold property stolen from a house on the northside of Corpus Christi at a pawn shop in town. The theft occurred on April 11 at a home on Lake Street. The property was pawned about an hour later by a man who gave the clerk a false ID.
