    A popular spot in Port Aransas is in need of maintenance and repairs. We're talking about the jetties and city officials there agree, saying they're overdue for some work. But those repairs aren't owed by the City of Port Aransas. Port Aransas Mayor Charles Bujan says the jetties are not city property, they're actually owned by the Army Corps of Engineers and supposed to be maintained by them as well.

    A family is safe this morning after a motorcycle caught fire in their driveway. The fire started just before 3 a.m. on the 4100 block of Montego near Holly and Weber. Firefighters were able to control the flames before it was able to spread to the home. However, there was minor damage to the exterior of the home and a truck that was also in the driveway.     Detectives say they need your help in finding a man who stole jewelry from Amans Jewelers last month. The crime happened May 23, 2017, in the 5400 Block of South Padre Island Drive around 10:30 am Tuesday morning. Surveillance video shows a man running up to the jewelry counter, grabbing two ring displays, and running off with the jewelry.

    Detectives say they need your help in finding a man who stole jewelry from Amans Jewelers last month.     Many photos and videos have been sent in to our KRIS 6 News Facebook page showing a plane that is on fire at the McCampbell-Porter Airport in Aransas Pass. In the photos, a plane and possibly another object can be seen shooting flames and black smoke into the air. The Department of Public Safety tells us they are on scene and investigating. There are not many details at this time. We have a crew on the way to the scene and will update this story as soon as the information comes in.&

    Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon are in need of water after the two reservoirs water levels have fallen below the 50% line according to city water management officials. Now the city water department has to decide on what to do. Managers with the water's utility department say for the next 15 days, and the city will evaluate the combined storage levels before the possibility of initiating stage-1 of the revised drought contingency plan.

    Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon are in need of water after the two reservoirs water levels have fallen below the 50% line according to city water management officials. Now the city water department has to decide on what to do. Managers with the water's utility department say for the next 15 days, and the city will evaluate the combined storage levels before the possibility of initiating stage-1 of the revised drought contingency plan.

    Texas Department of Public and Safety Troopers say a suspected intoxicated driver drove her car into several cows and injured a Deputy with the Nueces County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened at Farm Market 70 and County Road 14, in Bishop around 1:00 am Saturday morning.
