    Dale's Hurricane Guide

After living and forecasting weather in the Coastal Bend for thirty five years now, there is one dominant theme in every hurricane season that I have been a part of since 1981. Nearly all of the storms that have made a direct hit here were weak and did little to no damage, while the ones that were destructive hurricanes hit elsewhere on the Texas coast and had little to no impact on us.

    Improving Weather Today

    Sunday, April 30 2017 6:37 AM EDT2017-04-30 10:37:50 GMT

A cold front moved through South Texas overnight. It triggered some rather big thunderstorms primarily north of the city. The heaviest rainfall and hail came down in northern areas of Live Oak and Bee counties. We also saw some big thunderstorms sweep across parts of Refugio county. We are seeing a few lingering showers this morning. However this will give way to sunny and cooler conditions this afternoon.
