    Moisture increases through mid-week

    Sunday, September 24 2017 7:19 PM EDT2017-09-24 23:19:38 GMT

Here we are a few days into fall and it is still very much feeling like summer out there with afternoon highs in the mid to lower 90s and heat indices still pushing the triple digits for many places across South Texas.  There were a few isolated spots to get some rainfall this afternoon and that provided some relief from the heat. Rain chances will start to creep up from isolated to scattered/likely by the middle of next week as an upper-level disturbance moves in from the west...

We are going to end the first full weekend of Fall with more warm and humid conditions. Look for partly sunny skies with an afternoon high around 91 degrees. A few brief showers will be possible. Expect winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. We will see increasing moisture for much of the workweek ahead. There is the potential for some pretty heavy rainfall midweek.
