      It was a very nice end to the workweek here in the Coastal Bend. We saw a high temperature of 87 degrees today. We will see a mixture of sunshine and clouds for the start to our weekend. Look for a bit more humidity and breezy conditions tomorrow with an afternoon high near 90 degrees. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies with some patchy fog developing overnight.

    The Corpus Christi Police Department has released the name of an officer involved in a shooting that claimed the life of Corpus Christi man Dewboy Lister. Corpus Christi Police Chief Mike Markle confirmed in a press conference this morning that one man is dead following an officer-related shooting last night. East Bridgewater and Rockland High Schools were standing for the Star Spangled Banner when the stadium's sound system went out. Instead of abandoning the song, the lady soccer players stepped in and sang it a capella.
