It's an all-girls school that includes grade levels 6 through 12. A similar school is being considered for Corpus Christi through the West Oso ISD. According to the aquarium, 101 green sea turtles were admitted to the Texas State Aquarium’s Wildlife Rescue and Recovery Center between Friday and Sunday after being found stranded due to cold-stunning, a hypothermic reaction that sea turtles can develop when exposed to cold water for a prolonged amount of time.

    Corpus Christi Police are asking for help in locating a local girl who was reported as a runaway on December 9. According to police, 12-year-old Naomi Henderson may be in danger. Police say she is new to the area and does not have any know acquaintances in the area. Naomi is described as 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

    Two men flying in an ultralight had a close call this afternoon. The men were flying just off of Padre Island, near the Gulf Stream Condos when the aircraft's engine died shortly after takeoff.  The pilot and passenger were able to land safely in the gulf, but had to wait about 30 minutes for rescue crews to get to them.  Neither of the men were hurt, and lifeguards were there to help them pull their ultralight back to shore.
